| it's those diehards fans of IX and baseball teams that really propel the sport of competition. |

Vishnu,
How would you integrate the concept of extra innings when the score is tied?
Is cricket played with extra innings too? |

when you consider all the rules and regulations of baseball, and other sports, i am glad i can just sit back and enjoy American Idol. I already have my phone set on _-dial for each contestant. so, it's even easier to join in on the voting. Now, I need to get a voice activated phone and have it listen to the performances |

| great tip on the spead dial options. i like it. i wish i had thought of it sooner when there were more contestants. but, next season awaits us. definitely, i will use the spead dial set up to save my fingers from all of the _ pressing. |

thank you for the question, many many apoligies for the delay reply. I have been crossing the Punjab on elephant back, looking for the source of the Ganges that when my feet are dipped in it, I will attain enlightenment. This takes so long! You cannot imagine.
To answer your question briefly: No.
But in reality, yes.
When it is very hot, and there are many flies in the air, the players often take extra cool tea breaks. this gives the appearance of extra innings. And also resolving a tie score (rare) may involve some extra swings of the whicket, and a bit more bowling and fielding for the whole family to enjoy.
But the whole comercial break, and advertisement time in between extra innings, well, this is simply not part of our dharma.
thank you, and thank you again for your question.
And not back to my river search. |

| Even with Idol being off-season now for almost a year, this post is still the most popular. i guess it's true when they say that there is nothing like apple pie and baseball. |

I think that AI (and IX too) should have a national anthem singing week.
And the winner of that week should be singing the nat'l anthem at some nationally televised game than any distance or time shifted fan could watch.
I think that the winner should be given that award just for winning that week, and then they would get nat'l recognition even if they didn't win the whole season
maybe each week catagory should have those kind of awards.
don't expect me to discuss this over donuts! |
